Not sure if that's good or bad but it is neat to know.

Makes no difference, IMO. It is the classic Manx Style that most people like. Build it, make it your own with some personalized touches, and drive the wheels off of it.

Everyone is gifted. Some just do not open the package.

Looks like it was painted with a live chicken, polished with a brick and buffed with a pine cone

I just picked it up a few days ago and then got a 1600 DP. I have no idea what type the body is. It is registered as a 1964 VW Dune Buggy. Going to start working on it this weekend. Any info would be great.[img]

I've had this buggy for 5 years or so. Just getting to it. I'm looking for a hard top and front windshield. It would help in finding parts that fit if know who made it. It's real close to a early manx but missing some items that other sites say should be there. Mainly it doesn't have tubes glassed in under the fenders. Also the dash appears to be fiberglass but joined to the hood with a metal frame. Also no serial tag but some tape residue there. Any info would be helpful

I did some research and think it may be a Bowwow Boomer.

I found a guy that's got a bleached out Bradley GT he knows nothing about it it acts like the body has been weakened from sitting in the Sun and the weather for ever....if you can picture it and if that's possible. No windshield no doors no nothing he like he wants to get rid of it. It's sitting on a 1970 pan no paperwork.

Can you tell if the scoops were an addition later? The dash looks very unique and could be the clue for the hood. I looked but couldnt find anything, but Im certain one of the eagle eyed members here would know it in a heartbeat. The body is very Manx style but the rear is what has me confused with the way it comes out to the box from the package tray. The aprons seem to hang down lower too. Have you tried posting to the dune buggy archives forums? Maybe they can help too. Good luck and enjoy the build!

Going to give you 3 horrible pics.

Buddy of mine was doing some side work when he came across these in the back yard. First one is in rough shape, says he has all the pieces but rough. The second is a body that he claims despite how it looks, under the brush the body is actually in good shape.

Picture is horrible at best.... any idea what that thing is I am looking at? Says the guy will sell both with a couple of engines all for $300
