HI guys,
First post here...I'm in the market for a buggy for my son and I to work on and found one out of town. I only have a few pics but is there anyone here who recognizes it? I checked out the buggy archives but could find the right combination to come up with a make or model. It's a 1969 with a single port 1500.
Any ideas what this is?
Thanks!

Can't identify it but it looks to be in good enough shape. If the price is right I say go for it! _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

Thanks! Now the big question, what is the right price. It hasn't run in 6 years, needs carb work, floor pans and general clean up and then paint and new wheels, tires etc. I see ones locally (Canada) that are all done up and ready to drive for anywhere from $5,000-10,000, depending on how fancy and what model they are. I was thinking somewhere around $1500-2K but I don't know. I'm just getting started in buggies.
Thanks guys. |

You mentioned Canada. Are you going to have to cross a border with this? Sometimes that can complicate things. As far as price, I think $1000 would be tops, MAYBE $1500 if you really can't live without it? _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

Thanks for the help. Nope, I'm in BC and the buggy is next door, in Alberta. I have offered $1500 but got a no, he needs $2500. Maybe the market is different in the USA.
Any idea what it is?
Cheers |

Well I have no idea, but Bow Wow was in British Columbia and they sold a body called the Boomer. Doesn't look like this one however |

Well, here is another one I found, much closer. Engine is included but not in it. Needs a lot of work, no windshield or seats...basically a shell and a chassis. Any idea what this one is?
Cheers and thanks.

This very well may be a ''Hillbilly'' body as they were in your neck of the woods. I have limited info on them but a pic of the hood mold looks like your style . I have a body on file without the hood , it also looks like yours. round me up some better pics, a dash view is something I don't have either for this |

I am in Okanagan Falls. I have two buggies. My friend also here has a buggy, rail buggy and a Baja.
Pm me if you would like to talk to us. My friend has another body and pan various other parts, motor etc and was talking about putting them together to sell.
Those two projects look like a lot of work. Need to get the first one for way less than $2500 in my opinion.
Cheers, Tim _________________ My wife said I never listen to her.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately the buggy is about 10 hours away and the fellow is not interested in taking more pics, so I think I will pass on this one. I don't like dealing with people with bad attitudes.
I found a Manx copy locally, someone I know, but it's a real project as well, just a body and chassis, no reg. windshield, lights gauges, seat etc etc.
Still looking.
cheers |

Attorney Loophole that is definitely a BEE Crafts body, they copied a bunch of common bodies and added that teardrop in the hood. |
Thanks! I will have to do some research. _________________ Bryce

So, I picked this up a couple of days ago.
I've searched all over the web (Including Dunebuggy Archives),
but I can't identify it. I'd like to find out what it is so that I can
put a value on it and sell it. I already have two project buggies,
and I don't need another one.
Thanks in advance for any help.

This is a late Wolverine, made by Designer's mfg. in Denver, CO only around 1968. It shares the main body with it's successor, the Bandit, of Montgomery Wards fame (not to be confused with the stolen name Bandit currently being made in CA). The late Wolverine differs from the Bandit in that it has a conventional Manx style hood. Very few were made; This is only the third one I've ever seen.
P.S.- the headlights were mounted to the front edge of the fenders using brackets which swung backwards. They look so good that way. |

Need an ID on this one. Belonged to my father-in-law for the past 10+ years. It now belongs to me and my wife. We're super excited to add it to the family.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide. |

Hi,
After a couple of beers last night and some wishful I mistyped the original message.
I'm new to the buggy world and just found this buggy, I'm thinking of acquiring it. Any idea what it is?

LOVE that paint job. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
Sorry, no idea what you have as I'm new here too. |

That one may be one of the ''Caskey's products'' bodies and usually there is a sticker somewhere if so on the underside of the hood and or dash |
