Can anyone help? I have a white 73 Thing. I can't seem to locate the paint code. Does anyone know how many shades of white were available for a 73 thing? If so do you know the paint codes?

Thanks,

Paul

hey 2CV

I've seen multiple shades of white/ blizzard white myself,

my 73 is supposed to be Blizzard white,

I'm thinking it's supposed to be a cream white color, not bright white, I've found traces of Orig paint under certain parts and it's not a bright white at all, more yellow in it.

At least on mine it is.

Man, i've seen some white Things that you need shades to look at!

But Blizzard white was it on the 'white' color.

Hope it helps.

Hello 2 Chevaux Vapeur
I had a 1972 togawhite and I have seen a 1973 blizzard white .
The toga ist a very light grey and the blizzard more white .
The original colours of the 181 were always satin finish . Wink

My Blizzard White was partially repainted and also faded at one point in time, I had the Ned's near me mix up a little Blizzard White and as stated earlier it is certainly creamier than a bright white. They had it in the computer.

I currently have a 74 parts car that is orange but was originally Blizzard White. So I have some virgin areas of the car (like the back side of dash panels and such that could be scanned for correct paint color.

Has anyone used rattle cans to try and match the factory white. If so what did you use. I have a few grey primer ed pieces I'd like to stay and get as close as possible.

Blizzard white is for sure a creamy color, as opposed to bright white. I have a Lotus white[bright] 06 Scion Xa, when parked next to each other its obvious. The Blizzard is a much prettier color.
