Aloha all. Unfortunately I blew a head gasket yesterday. I am new to outer banks and haven't been able to find anyone willing to work on my van. Any leads or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

The silence doesn't sound good. I have spent some time in the outer banks but can't recall any options for you. Have you any new leads?

| I was in the area last june and rember a mechanic that was called the roadside mechanic. His house was on the east side of the main road near the Koa campground. He had a bus a beetle and a vanagon in his yard. He works in his yard and responds to roadside repairs. I do not have his number. Good luck. |

Yeah, that's the place I remember. Its on the northern part of Hatteras Island.

Curious if you ever hooked up with George and, if so, how did it turn out?
Like to put him in my contact list, if he's a good mechanic who'll work on vanagons and fairly easygoing to deal with.
