My father had a steering wheel exactly like this on his 67 baja bug back in the 80s. I always thought it looked cool I did not know how hard they are to get now I wish I could have acquired it from him.

Does anyone know if formuling horn buttons are a universal size that fit all of their steering wheels? _________________ 67 Convertible July 67 Yukon Yellow

all the formuling wheels i've seen are +-76mm holes in the middle, but I'm sure there are variations. |

@ Hoobie... I'd love to buy a few of these Formuling Horn Buttons, I've got 3 wheels and all 3 have gone brittle and fallen apart. |

Just when y'all thought it was impossible, I have a new formulation. Completely different company, same 80 hardness. Really impressed with the springyness of them, should be posted up on the 'Bay tonight. Details came out really well, and the feel is great, but I have no idea how long they'll last as I have no data on this particular elastomer, but the black pigment I use enhances UV stability anyway.
I think maybe I should get out more. |

Yeah it sucks how they always fall apart- hence why I'm trying to make ones that don't. Must be plenty of really nice Formuling wheels out there that have been retired due to having no centres. |

Spot on Hoobie, i really like the Formuling wheel, the look and feel is nice. I've hung on to them and just put up with no centre.
Very impressed with your news of nailing a new remold... looking forward to hopefully getting my hands on a few |

Hey theSolman, two just went live on Ebay, they turned out quite well will make some more in due course if you miss them
I've got about twenty craptacular buttons lying around that never made the cut- but it's like when your family turns into zombies and you can't bring yourself to shoot them all in the head. Or is that maybe just me. My family aren't zombies btw. afaik.
Probably should check on them. |

showoff.
Someone else bought el crappo (despite the description and photos) so you're going to get a different el crappo. make sure you post photos of the wheels with the buttons in them when you get them, or I'll send a zombie army round to dribble on your lawn and mash your flowers. |

Yep, that's exactly the way it was when I bought it. Got it to go in a white beetle I had at the time, but sold the car and never used the wheel. _________________ 63 Beetle

I just saw a 69 convertible resto-custom with a formuling steering wheel sell for $6K on Mecums Auto Auctions. _________________ 67 Convertible July 67 Yukon Yellow
