Did you put the cooling tin under the cylinders before installing the pushrod tubes?

Good!

Do you have any part that still has the original paint on it? Under the hood, under the engine deck lid?

If you do, you can take the part to a good paint dealer and they will have a computer scanner that can scan the paint and formulate a paint code to match it as exact as possible.

Some of the original paint is still in the trunk.. But is attatched to the body. Im thinking its gonna look more like a beige on a U.S. military humvee.

No I don't think so. I found the paint code..

And am wondering if this is what it looks like. The POs could have just painted over it with no body work done, or unless this color is some sort of primer because this one of the layers beneath the purple

Gonna get two stock rims sandblasted, and either get them powdercoated white, or paint them myself. Cool

Yes! Deestone 7.00x15 Extra Traction tires for the front! Im gonna get the stock rim powdercoated white to match the rear rims. Then this thing will be rolling..

Right now I just need to:
1) put in my tierods, adjust the toe
2) Fix the framehead so I can adjust the camber
3) fabricate crossmember for sway bar to bolt too
4) Bleed, and adjust brakes
5) Install tires
6) Fix electrical and install taillights/turn signals/reverse lights/ license plate light/headlights
7) get used front fenders and trim them
Cool finish body work, primer it and get it painted sahara beige(stock color) probably at Macco, since it is a baja and will be experiencing some light offroad use, why get a show quality paint job when its gonna get chipped and scratched?
9) trunk, window, door seals and get this thing ready for the winter!
10) maintenance, break in motor, adjust as needed.

That is my game plan before the winter hits.

awesome, thank you very much poomwah.

another thing- its a very distant task, but an important one, when you finally get to drive your car can you please tell us how road noise is for street driving, and then later down the road, how well they wear?

Also decided on the color. Will be repainting it stock Saharabeige L 80 Z! I like how it gives it more of an offroad desert car look!

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Tell me what you guys think with this being the base color, with white wheels and black trim/engine cage/ nerfbars/ bumpers! Wink
