Unfortunately not....I produced the first set of fins and did not get enough feed-back on demand to move forward.
I decided to build the engine with the standard Comp Eliminator Fin design and de-tune the compression a bit and improve lubrication to see the effects of that on the street. Also, other life events have put the hobby portion of Air-cooled life on hold. I probably have two days worth of work on the 2498 build before it can be fired for the first time it's just difficult to get to the shop. No spare time right now. The 57' Oval isn't even getting much love since last Fall.

I dont get much time to do any vw stuff these days either execpt for buying parts&stacking them. so.. your not alone. Life...aint it a bitch.

I have probably three boxes of parts for the 57 just waiting. It's either time or money you know it Mark!

I have somuch to do, I havent even touched the 356.boxes of parts uppon boxes, roller cams for 2332&2393,jessell roller lifters,910 heads for both, tit valves,new lathe& tooling,still setting it up. never ending.wish i still was able to do my v8 stuff...and wish it was all gone too.
