If you consider 2000 a while.. then ok. In fact, BSU has played an SEC team in 5 of the last 11 seasons- Including South Carolina in 2001 (I was there). But I guess folks who don't know the SEC...
I'd honestly wish you guys good luck the rest of the season, but you won't need it due to your joke of a schedule. Seriously though, BSU needs to join a respectable conference. The field is kind of cool though... _________________ People get cancer and we try to fix it.

I'm not even a smart fan- but consider this important: BSU has exactly zero players on their roster now that they had in 2000. That to me constitutes (along with most colleges in the West) a differnt team altogether- and a blessed graduation rate. Now I don't know about the graduation rates since 2000 in SC, for instance- maybe you've still got basically the same roster?
I'm kidding. And you're onto something. It's less about the teams than how they're matched... To me, it's too soon to call what the current field of SEC teams poses for BSU- each loss and win shapes future games- and of course, alters potential outcomes for teams we swear we've known since 2001. Georgia was a surprise by history- but by recent numbers, was in the bag.
BSU has bounced all over conferences so much lately- I couldn't even remember where we played last year. I stopped paying attention when my free 10 years' worth of BSU Alumni discounts on my car insurance was up! _________________

It's fun to watch the little guy take on the big guy and win. I like boise State for the same reason I like Fresno State from years past. My son had an Invite from Boise State back in 2001 or so to move up from Modesto JC. He decided to drive to Lake Tahoe and get married instead. He's happy so I guess thats whats important. |

You make good points, and I guess I deserve the jab about the roster. I honestly don't have a problem with BSU, by the way. What I have a problem with is a team from the MWC crashing the BCS party. I just think the schedule is too weak to warrant their ranking and NON STOP media coverage. I don't mean for that part to sound too argumentative- I actually said the exact same thing about TCU, FSU, VT, and WVU.
That said, I give kudos for the win at UGA (essentially a home game for them). Unfortunately, my Gamecocks are going to devalue that win a little by lambasting UGA in Athens this weekend. I hear UGA already has their uniforms picked out:

Univ. So. Cal. Dropped out of the top #25.. which is deserved.. after the score ended 19 -17 Trojans.. Not enough points were there to keep them afloat, especially such a short ending final. So now at #28.. We have our own Utah Utes within the PAC 12.. Should be interesting.. _________________ Valentine, Ray J Sr.

The thread's about football Notchback- not your BFE, Idaho "art film" collection- try to keep up.
Truth be told- I accidentally wore an all-red shirt to work last Friday- dense me couldn't figure out why BSU fans weren't helping me close the store in time for kickoff... _________________

Once again a win is a win.. even if its only by two freakin lousy points.. Im not sure if were going to make it back into the top 25 this season.. Not at this rate, thats for sure.. Looks like Auburn might be back in the top.. There was like two ranked teams that lost this past weekend.. Guess we'll see on Tuesday when the polls come out.. _________________ Valentine, Ray J Sr.

Right On- #4 BSU held back Tulsa tonight 41-21. Seems so wierd to see MW logos everywhere- especially on our field- but we'll see how it goes. Next week: Nevada.
33 straight home games won and QB Kellen Moore started winning game number 41 tonight. Five more and he's got the college record, IIRC. _________________

I don't think USC is staying in the top 25 after their dismal showing Saturday. _________________

Its alright.. Were only here this season to cause HATE & DISCONTENT to the NCAA.. We might drop out of the top 25.. but we'll still be in the top 120... _________________ Valentine, Ray J Sr.
