My winter project is getting closer to happening. Have to make a trip to harbor freight for few things then the real fun can begin.

Hello thesambians.. Hope everyone is grooven with there spring Westy fun.

The newest updates include workig with a vendor to reproduce a absolutely perfect Delta 6 shore power decal, you may he seen this in another thread.
These decals took over a year to get to print but if your like me and want a true stock look for your Westy these are key. The small details just seem to take it to a different level. Plus every time I look at pictures of Westfabulous's bus and his level of detail it inspires me to keep push for perfection. And can not forget Hoody and his level of perfection he's shooting for on his restoration. Mind blowing how detailed his build has been. Cannot wait to see his final project, what I've seen so far is amazing and will be a hard restoration to top I'm sure. Ok enough stroking others.

The latest news as of today is another 1st place win at Colorado's Largest VW car show. Best in Class people's choice.
68-79.

I will try and post a photo of the trophy soon. Having been a very long day and the trophy was not the only prize I recieved,, first sunburn of the year. So exhausted.

Jah blessing. Give Thanks.

Thank you!! Could not have made it to this level without the good advice of some on thesamba and also the care and dedication the vendors I work with have contributed.

Adrian at Headflowmaster.com has give me so much time, wisdom and not to mention a bad ass engine!! It's hard to drive down the road without hurting myself from smiling so much. Truly a awesome engine builder with great customer service. And coming from me that is saying a lot as I'm probably the hardest customer to please. I live for perfection on my builds so the bar is very high from the start. Thanks Adrian for taking the time and putting up with my thousand questions along the way. I'm looking forward to Headflowmaster building me engines for my next 2 projects on the books. Type1 and a type 4. Also Super excited as Adrian told me he has a steady supply of standard German bearings for his builds. I just put German bearings in my last build and it was night and day on the fit and overall final product. So glad Headflowmasters.com is dedicated to quality products going into there builds.

Also Chris at Bustedbus.com has provide great support over the build to help me dial things in. His wisdom and great used parts have made my projects that much smoother.

some days feel that it all is coming together just swell and with the help of some great people it IS!!

Ok enough stroking,,, back to work people!!

Treated the Westy to a NOS set of FAG inner and outer front wheel bearings and seals.
The bus had been throwing oil on the wheel ever since a shotty repack job by a Boulder VW shop. Found that the mechanic had no endplay in the wheel. So tight the Bearings were toast.

All fixed now!! Happy bus with nearly 1,000 miles on the engine.
