Have you looked at the Berg adapter to make a Bus trans fit into a Sedan?

I think the Rancho catalog has it on page 17:

If I understand it correctly, it allows you to use a Sedan "hockey stick" to shift the Bus trans. Best to talk to the folks at either site for details. _________________ AshMan40

What's made you decide on a bus trans?
They have terrible gearing for a street car, perfect for a baja though. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

I've been reading and I won't to make sure of something. When putting a bus trans into a bug I know it won't fit. You either have to cut the tunnel or do that 10 degree mount kit. I plan on cutting the tunnel, that does not bother me. I'd rather run the trans not on an angle and put the motor on that angle to. THe only thing I'm not sure of is what mount kit I need to run that doesn't have the 10degree kit. And isn't a solid mount kit? I plan on driving this thing on a regular basis once I get it done. And if solid mounts is the only way I can live with that but would prefer not to. Guess I should mention that the motor is goin to be a Subaru 2.2 n/a |
