Let me tell you a good one
Me and Lee64 started off here in Ravenswood headed for the show. The buss was running good all the way up. I was bragging on it. We get 15 minutes form the show and break a clutch cable. F@#$. Thats my luck. We spend the next 3 hours rigging something together to get us home. Never made the show.
Ol well better luck next time. I am ordering a extra clutch and gas cable to carry around though.

I've had some luck welding nuts to the studs and then threading them out. The heat from the weld will sometimes free them.

I picked up a new project today, and boy is she a beauty! Laughing This thing had set in the back edge of this hay field, just on the edge of a creek bank for 10+ years. We had to cut that tree out before moving it. When we were towing out I realized that the brakes actually still worked. By the time we got out to where I can get it loaded the LR wheel cylinder had let go.

I tracked this bus down over a year ago. I finally got the owners phone # just to find out he lived in Indiana. He didn't want to sell it at the time. I gave him my # and told him to be sure to call me if he ever decided to sell it. Since then he has moved back and found my # in his tool box, so he decided to give me a call. I'm glad he did. It was in the middle of nowhere over in Tyler County.

Wait for it.............Wait for it....................BAM!

Shaun
Please tell me that you don't plan on painting that bus. I love the painting on the side. That a beauty. What year is it. I might have some parts if you need them. I have a t-4 engine here somewhere.

Hey Anthony, I think I have just about everything I need for this one. It's a '69 model, so it's got the upright motor. That's the only thing missing is the engine. It still has the 3 rib trans. in it along with the rear apron and mustache bar. If I need anything I'll give you a shout.

Aaron, that suprises me coming from you. Shocked Did you notice it's a bay? Is it the paint job or the hightop that earned your approval? I can't help but smile everytime I look at it. Very Happy

I definately plan on putting this one back on the road. I'll probably lower and narrow it with a set of sprint stars, or BRM's, but something deep inside of me wants to throw a set of Cragers and huge tires on it and roll it "Jersey Style" Cool . What would you guys do with it?

Everyone knows you can't drive a lowered Bus anywhere anyhow Laughing

Besides, a Bay isn't worth the effort or money to lower Razz

At the moment, no it's not, but that may change by this time tomorrow. I didn't want anymore projects right now, this one kind of landed in my lap. I tracked this one down over a year ago, had almost forgotten about it when the owner called me up last week ready to sell. We struck a deal, and now I have this beautiful piece of lawn art Laughing . I've always wanted one of these hightops, and this one is solid where it counts. I'll let you know if I decide to sell it, then your neighbors can be just as impressed as mine are.

Next get together is September 21, in Huntington. I'm not sure of the exact location, I'll have to find out. When I do, I'll post more on here.
