C'mon, admit it, you like it here Wink I have tons of faith in your abilities and I feel confident that you are finally at or very near the end of your rear wheel woes. The paranoia should wear off in 300-400 miles or so Cool

Following your course and a few others and reading the VanagonList Digest I'm thinking I'm losing my nerve to go on a long road trip. I accept that things will happen BUT I don't want them to happen to me Rolling Eyes

no don't loose your nerve, these are all challenges they get me down while it's all happening, in a day or two they'll be forgotten

another issue we had, was lucy idles fast sometimes, sometimes normal, then the next light she'll idle at 1800 rpm, the next light 1450 rpm Rolling Eyes

that one is the aux air regulator, but before we figured it out, someone suggested the o2 sensor, mann that bugger was in tight Sad
it snapped off flush, i don't have the space to carry a drill, so i had to file out to the thread and chisel it out Shocked

anyone want an only slight used o2 sensor

The two of you have had quite the year! So many things to see and good folks to meet; it must make you smile to think how it all happened. Oh yes…you started by bringing home a somewhat not-all-there camper.
I have so enjoyed reading the posts of getting it ready and hitting the road. My heart can relate to the incidents of parts failing in the worst places. These old vehicles have old parts that need replacing just like us humans. Most of the time YOU have been the surgeon with gracious helpers at the side. Lucky for Lucy.
.
I like how you have managed to live in the small space while plotting the travels ahead. And now with a replacement engine the travel might be a little swifter.
Have a fantastic week in a nice, cozy warm place called southern California.
Cheers,
Jeffery

What an awesome thread. Uber respect for the work you've put into Lucy, and getting her back on the road.

So are you guys in CA, or FL?
