| What is the market price for a unrestored 1957 23 Window Micro Bus. Its an excellent driver with the only rust being the doglegs and lower rockers where the trim attaches. Its missing both benches and grooved bumpers. |

Market Price? I guess if I owned it I would ask good money. I like buses that have not been tinkered with. Rust issues are common
but does affect the price.Regardless of all the hype and circumstance, The Price of the vehicle is what you and the buyer finally agree to. |

| Definitly dont base your price on what you see on this site. For the most part the prices of Micros are inflated. People seem to thing that a bus dragged from a lake bottom is a uncut diamond. In the end market value is what ever the consummer will pay for a historic vehicle. |

It all depends on the market and what the end result that you are looking for.
The range would be $5,000 to $8,000.00 for a bus that can be restored better than new.
Many people think that is to high and out of line, but that's what it is.
Good luck.

| i had a 65 21 window that i had $12k into, sold it for $3500 (i know it was too cheap, i wanted to dump it fast) and i have a 63 23 window that i've got almost $40k into (worth about $25k). moral of the story? buy one that is done. let they guy that built it lose all the money. |

Value depends upon where the vehicle is located- and how honest, or pessimistic, your description is. To you, it is an "excellent driver" (good), but to soemone else, it is a rusty bus with missing seats and bumpers (bad). In parts of the world where early busses are more plentiful, and rust is less common, (ie, The Land of Fruits and Nuts), that bus is less valuable than it would be elsewhere, simply because there are more, and often better, available. Are you looking at buying it, or selling it? what do YOU think it is worth? Where are you located, and are you (or the seller) willing to ship? fire back some answers, and i will give you a more informed opinion.
BTW, I-hate is right... if you are buying a vehicle to restore, always look for something that someone has started to work on right... and if you are selling, don't expect to ever get back what you put into your pride and joy- you may have invested $4000 in the engine 15000 miles ago, but your now used engine isn't worth $4000 any more. |

prices vary alot, depending on where you are in the country, a rust free bus will get alot more in NY than in AZ.
That's a prized bus, if the frame rails are good and body, windows are good, it's worth dough even if no motor or tranny.
Wish i had my hands on one. |
