I have used it on rough surfaces before and it sticks like Dammit!
I do prep the surface to make sure it is clean, no dust, no dirt, no oil by products. For your surface, I would hit it with a hand wire brush to remove any loose FG strands and then vacuum the surface to get the last bits of dust. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Thanks Joe.
I wrote to dynamat tech, and they said that if duct tape would stick,it would work.
Thanks Again,

Not much time this weekend, but got something done.
I think this may be where the extinguisher lands to.
Sill wondering about the Dynamat, in the box. I might try painting with brushed enamel. And then see what happens.
Have a Great One,

Hello Guys
Just letting you know that I didn't give up, just happened to run across a car I've wanted for a long time.
http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6091
I let it take more of my time than I should have.
http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=6304
Don't hate me, it's still air cooled.
So I have moved the Barris back to next summer deadline.
Have Great Day,

Fitting some gauges.
Notice nail polish on speedometer needle ? Think it matches other gauges.
Thanks to the Wife..........

OK,,,,Hope this is the last of the Brain Farts...............
Thinking over what I had to finish on this car. Then remembered, that I never finished the clutch.
AH Code, so I opted for the new style conversion.
So, as soon as the weather breaks, out comes the engine.
Anyone done the "sleeve" ?
Come On Spring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a Great Day,

Still stuck in the SNOW
Just gathering more parts.
I wanted the hood belts, but, the "SANTA" ones were not was I was looking for.
So, off to the local western shop.
This is what I came up with.
Had to add, that little extra.
I think it looks better than the costume belts.
Have a Great Day,

Finally got around to revisiting the clutch. I really did not remember what was there. Glad I took a look, the throw out shaft and bushings were questionable.
Those were replaced. Anyone have a better idea for installing the spring?
(I'm sure I didn't do it the easy way,no fun at all)
New pressure plate and clutch.
And the most fun. It seems George was not concerned about R&R on the engine. No room at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Butt, back together, and running..............
Have a Great Day,

I need some opinions..................
Clutch cable, EMPI style, or rope wedges?
Let me know, I hope to drive it out of the garage this weekend.
Thanks,

I would say get a good quality cable. EMPI style is fine, but many like the rope wedges. Both have good and bad points.

Thanks Tim,
I didn't get any replies, so I did "Both". I Cut the cable long enough that
I could go back to just the rope ties. See what happens.
And NO Ride ,,,,Old master cylinder, would not cooperate. Picked a new one up today.
I did manage to fight the pedals in.......
Need to clean-up, but in. (trapping the carpet, is NOT that easy of a job)
Rearview up and working.
Dynamat installed in box.
And shifter with knob in.
Have a Great Day,
