I have used it on rough surfaces before and it sticks like Dammit!

I do prep the surface to make sure it is clean, no dust, no dirt, no oil by products. For your surface, I would hit it with a hand wire brush to remove any loose FG strands and then vacuum the surface to get the last bits of dust.

Thanks Joe.

I wrote to dynamat tech, and they said that if duct tape would stick,it would work.

Thanks Again,

Not much time this weekend, but got something done.

I think this may be where the extinguisher lands to.

Sill wondering about the Dynamat, in the box. I might try painting with brushed enamel. And then see what happens.

Have a Great One,

Bill

Hello Guys #Sleep

Just letting you know that I didn't give up, just happened to run across a car I've wanted for a long time.

http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6091

I let it take more of my time than I should have.

http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=6304

Don't hate me, it's still air cooled. Laughing

So I have moved the Barris back to next summer deadline.

Have Great Day,

Bill

OK,,,,Hope this is the last of the Brain Farts...............

Thinking over what I had to finish on this car. Then remembered, that I never finished the clutch. Embarassed

Finally got around to revisiting the clutch. I really did not remember what was there. Glad I took a look, the throw out shaft and bushings were questionable.

Those were replaced. Anyone have a better idea for installing the spring?

I would say get a good quality cable. EMPI style is fine, but many like the rope wedges. Both have good and bad points.

Did you get to drive it out of the garage this weekend?

I didn't get any replies, so I did "Both". I Cut the cable long enough that
I could go back to just the rope ties. See what happens.
And NO Ride Crying or Very sad ,,,,Old master cylinder, would not cooperate. Picked a new one up today.

I did manage to fight the pedals in.......
