|
|
Hello all,
I'm about to run the wiring harness in my early notch and realized I have a fuse box for 12 fuses. I realize the 10 fuse box is correct for my year(64). Will I be able to use it anyway? |

Yes, you can spread the load better with the 12 fuse setup UNLESS you are a fanatic on everything being correct for the year model! |

| Thanks Dhanna. I'm more concerned with getting things to fit than worrying about if it's correct with this car. It's a daily driver build. I'll post pics soon. |

It'll fit just fine, as I have 1 in my 65 Notch. If you want, you can even wire it all up like a later car to make it easier to folow in case you have a problem down the road. |
Ok. Can I do that with a early notch harness? Does it matter? |

Yup, you can do that. Most of the wires are the same. It's just the later cars had more stuff they were powering up, or fuseing off, versus the earlier cars. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I would still use the 12 fuse box. Why? The extra two soarces on the box are for the all hot spots from the headlight jump. So what? Well the two extra spots will allow you to hook up accessories and run a stock fuse point rather than jumping off the dedicated hot tabs.
It makes life so much simpler when you add the radio, fog lights what ever. The 12 block bolts right in, is exactly the same as the 10 just with two more fuses.
I cant say enough good things about switching to a 12.
Tip of the day - for those of you looking for a fuse block 12 post- that does not have a broke leg to bolt under the dash like half of you have - cant find an unbroke one in the T3 classys? Try the bay window classys then. Early bays use the same 311 PN T3 fuse block _________________ Jason "notchboy" Weigel

Well this was timely info. I'm in need of a 10 slot, and can't find one on the T3 classifieds. Thanks! |
