where is everyone? Question

Anyways guess what I might be driving tomorrow Wink

the game is guess what it is before I get back from driving it.

Clue! its one of the most iconic aussie cars ever! everyone should know this one even you yanks. another is that it has 304hp Smile actually the more iconic version has something around 370hp.

what the hell is that thing?

Last time it was driven was in 1994 to it was a big but kinda disappointing day. It ran on 18 year old fuel, but there was some problem with the car.

Brake booster don't work so the brakes are shit, tyres are 30 years old and have flat spots, headlight don't work, impossible to find 1st and 2nd gear as the shift links are stiff and need adjusting plus I hit reverse looking for 2nd as there is no reverse lockout on the GT Confused Seemed to be missing more than half its power due to the secondary butterfly not opening, tacho reading more than 3 times actual revs maybe from the point playing up and bits of rubber falling apart plus radiator cap pissing out water.

And its not a drivers car, like driving a tank, huge, handles.....yup like a ford Surprised steering takes the force of 10 men to turn. you can't park it Laughing

Next time we will work over the car and getting running a bit better Cool

none the less its still a cool as classic.

Another cool thing I got to do today is shoot a real gun for the first time. a scoped 22 and a 1945 Lee Enfield. Good fun and hopefully I get to do it again this weekend.

That my friend is the Mad Max Interceptor. It was based on an 1974 (I think) Ford XB Falcon GT coupe (Hardtop), however as I recall the supercharger was for looks only. Pretty cool car though.

Yes sir cheese is grown on trees on the moon too Wink

that aint a mockup but it aint all original either. Its just a regular GT not the GTHO. the regular GT was a dine a dozen in the day. He has had it since 72.

As you do when your young is fit bits from other higher models and customize bits.

Trust me this is no mockup Wink

If I am correct, the GT was produced first and contained the 351 cleveland like it's better know brother the GTHO. Regardless they are both rare these days, especially in good condition and are very important part of Australia's automotive history.

Nice stuff Vlad Smile

yeah thats how I understand it too.

the HO has better fuel system, higher CR i think? stiffer suspension and I think the bakes were disk on the rear as well. The Ho has something around 370 something hp while the plain Jane GT has 304 hp from its 5.8L !! massive ass donk.

good looking car imho Cool

got this from a girl who drove it for 3 years and then it just stopped.....knew nothing about cars so called a wrecker and they said they would pay $300

my mate offered her $500 as is

he went to pic it up and put a brand new battery ib it and it fired right up, his been driving it for over 2 weeks now and it aint skipped a beat

5 brand new tyres and full service history only downfall is the interior was redone in 90s in a grey and is very 90s but the car is rock solid with no rust

rwc looks to be an easy one

SCORE reg till april
