few more pics.
I finally finished the chambers. Now the valve train
I am going to shim the springs but going to wait for the Norris 412 (less lift more duration). With the Norris Light weight titanium retainers, Norris dual springs, Norris hardened keepers and Norris light weight HD aluminum pushrods and light weight everything, I can hold the REVs.

If you are using the Norris pushrods are you also going to use the .008 and .010 lash specs? |
Hey dude, not sure. I have not gotten that far, but I am really stoked about the heads on how they came out. There are are spots on the heads that bother me, but where does it stop.
I have seen "the kid" around town he seems happy with his motor. Good job |

Yesterday, I started reassembly. I imagined reassembly of the case halves would be a quick (wam bam) job, but all the little details of cleaning the mating surfaces has proven to be quite tedious. |

After going at it for two days (~4 hours each day), I have a short block. It is a nice feeling to have it back together. Most importantly I did not pinch any bearings (I am sure all we have done that or know someone who has.) Although, I did have issues with the oil pump gasket. The gasket kept squeezing out. I was using Hylomar and finally used Curil (thanks John). I will be back at it tomorrow. I will start with the oil sump then put the flywheel back on. Once that is finished start doing all of the other little things that add up to a lot of time. I have said it before, I now see why it Costs BIG $$$$ to get a nice engine built.
Specs"
2332 84x94
Balanced: flywheel and pressure plate, forged pistons, rods, crank, pulley
cam: Norris 410
heads 42x37 ported and polished with chamber work
compression is currently 10.3 but i will probably make it closer to 11. I will keep it low since it is a street car |

That's some good cam lift! With those big heads and compression, you should have gone longer on the duration. I went Engle 125 on my 2332 (over 300 duration) and wish I'd gone to FK10 size at least! Steve Tims did recommened FK10 to me but I kept it a bump lower at E125.
Should be a stump puller though. _________________ Mike

The duration on the cam card, is the duration off .050" the actual advertised duration is 318. An engle W130 is 308. To me, this cam is very radical. I am very excited about the build. I just got my manifolds. I will post a before and after picture to illustrate what the final product derived from. I appreciate the feed back |

I have been working the manifolds and they currently need more welding. fortunately/unfortunately work has been keeping me busy. My goal is to get back on them next week. |

Still working on the manifolds... I mean the second set of manifolds.
This time I got a handle on this. well, at least i think I do. I am fortunate to have Jeff and Miguel helping/guiding me (the newbie) along the way, because I still have my training wheels on. Two great guys |
