Hello-

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=420375&highlight=tde+tail

I've heard good things about them, but I've yet to see any data using a dyne.

Regards,

Paul

Have them on a 40hp since last summer. The sound is a bit on the "fast'n furious" side, not the preferred family car sound on long distance travel. But I liked it.

My old endpipe ids were only 19mm. These were 28mm as advertised. The flow area was more than doubled.

With better flow the engine got picky about carb adjustments. Had to rev more in morning traffic, irritating. Found out the 28PICT-1 accel pump produced only 0.4cc, with the better exhaust flow it was totally lean. Fixed this to specs and driving was better than before.

It dont wake your neighbours Wink

I bought them this summer, the engine rews more freely at the top, I do about 5 km/h faster in 3. without loosing power, on my quite stock (I think) 36hp.

I can recommend them!

Hello-

Thanks for posting the video! While I agree that they're a little raspy, they're certainly tolerable.

Regards,

Paul

By chance, do they fweem or is it a "normal"exhaust sound? I believe that the small ID of the original pipes along with internal design made them them fweem.,,,
