I have a buddy selling his bay window westy interior. It's a walkthrough with z bed and cabinets. I believe its a 70 year. How hard would it be to adapt that interior to my bus? I am trying to get pics. _________________ 62 Standard Type 2 (Nothing Fancy)

Its a pretty common thing. Search around. Like said above the long cabinet will need to be shortened but im not sure how much. _________________ 1960 Bus Panel/Camper |

I have done a couple of threads on this: For my 1957 and 1963 buses, I shortened each closet/cabinet at the rear (for the 1963 bus; I used the jigsaw to cut it to conform to the curvuture of the body), cut a double notch at the top left of the closet, trimmed the bottom of the closet where it fits over the wheel well and a little of the board inside the rear of the closet; the z-bed and the seat in front of the z-bed fit in, and, for the 1963 bus, which is a walk-thru bus, the ice box fit in after I drilled two holes in the bulkhead for its two front mounting eye bolts (inside the ice box, I put some washers between each eye bolt where they attach to the inside to move them in, more).
I like the thicker wood used on the later model Westys and the prices were right: about $40 for the one that I put in my 1957 bus, and $15 (out of a 1978 Westy) that I put in the 1963 walk-thru camper. _________________ Don't worry; be happy. (Baba) |
