Tom do you have a Canadian version of the rebuild kit in metric?

Vincent, I think it is illegal to ship hamsters to another country. Canada required a different type of propulsion system in dune buggies so rubber bands would not work for you.

Just to let everyone know and to stop anyone who wants to jump all over me; I do have permission from Royze to make them.

Spoke to him and Tom does have permission.

Tom, I know how you feel about unauthorized used of your products and it's nice to know you not only talk the talk, but walk the walk.

I'm also glad that you're using your own artwork, that way my original one keeps it value Wink

Really?? You actually call him to confirm that tom had permission to put 2 rubber bands in a package ... And gives them away??? Even if he didn't have permission, it is not like he took a tomahawk missile and repackaged it as a hatchet missile. ... Wow. Awesome.

can we get back to this killer build now?

OK Tom (T), Tom (I) here. I got the rotors plated at Pape Plating in New Britain, CT. They have a $100 min charge, so it cost $100 to have them plated. They would probably have done more for the same price. It is a .0005 nickle flash. A chrome plating shop could probably do the same thing, but the one around here is slow. Pape gave me a 2 day turnaround. It will hold up to rain, but not salt water, and as I stated earlier, no studs allowed in the rotors. Tom

Glenn is correct for calling it out. Now to change the subject. Here are some photos.
The first one is the old dash and shifter location. I moved the shifter back 9”. I will post photos this weekend. The next set is the console base. It is made from 1/8” spring steel and welded together. Next I hand stitched woven strand to it and glassed it. When it cures I will go over it with chop, some fillers, padding and leather.
I needed the real estate. This thing is going to be wired like the space shuttle.

Sorry, i've know Tom for too many years and it's an inside joke.

And it's not the rubber bands... it's the idea. It's called "IP" Intellectual Property.

Tom , won't moving the shifter back that much put it in an awkward position?
All my buggies have had the shifter in stock position and the geometry between steering wheel , stock pedal location , stock shifter location , and seat has allways felt comfortable . But then again that's comming from a short , fat , old , sausage fingered guy Laughing

What are you like three feet tall:Right? Rolling Eyes

Actually, The 66 donor front half is about 17" from front of the napoleons hat and a late chassis is like 21" mine is 26" I will be sitting back in it.

Thanks, I needed the space. I have a Kenwood 9980 with all the bells and whistles going in it along with the seat controls and a few switches and gauges that would not fit the dash.
