What do you do?
Be pretty cool to know what some of the members here "do for a living".
I myself handle online bookings and all accounting for a vacation rental business I help setup. We use booking websites VRBO.com HomeAway.com and FlipKey.com. When I am not busy with the computer I do handyman work on properties. Also I haul and repair dumpsters for my friends trash business reuterwaste.com. Also always turning wrenches and welding on something. At night I mess around with computers as well.
Nice to be well rounded and wake up every day and say what should I do today! _________________ -cliff

I am a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force (here come the LT jokes ) I am a spacecraft flight dynamics and controls engineer. Working on flight experiment programs is great because we are allowed to take risks that the commercial or legacy systems would never consider. Sometimes you just want to turn it to 11! _________________ 86' Syncro |

I'm a Principal Engineer working with multifunctional teams designing, developing, and manufacturing electrosurgical medical devices. I work between R&D and Manufacturing, driving design and developing manufacturing lines. My official title is Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, New Product Development - needless to say my industry is overrun with acronyms...
I've been part of product releases of several ablation devices (used to destroy tumors with or without open surgery) and have recently moved in the development of sealing/dividing devices, which are used to seal then cut vessels in surgery - you'd be very happy for this technology if YOU need surgery.
Pretty satisfying work if you can forget the corporate BS and money grubbing... I focus on the fact that we help PEOPLE live better lives - which we do. _________________ '85 Wolfsburg, EJ22/ syncro tranny - Full Syncro conversion in process (+ 2.5L upgrade!)

It's our second year in business as a helicopter operator. We own a Hiller 12E we do mostly aerial application (crop dusting) and cherry drying with, but are slowly expanding what we do, including aircraft refurbishments and exports, helicopter parts. Pretty much anything to do with helicopters . It's a love/hate relationship, but I'm in it for life |

for a living? I used to be a biology professor and even got paid for it...
Now, I am still a research scientist interested in what causes species to go extinct and how to avoid that, and am also an env'l lawyer (endangered species again), but there is no pay. _________________ 1986 2.1L Westy 2wd Auto Trans. |

I'm in charge of tech support (ResNet) for the student body at the local college. I work with and for students, and I love it. I also have a student staff of minions, and I love all of them too. _________________ I'm pullin' into town on the interstate, I got me a steel train in the rain.
