Hello,
I am trying to do a bedliner build. I have asked a similar question before but researching all my options I need to ask this specific question instead:
How many square feet of sheet metal is in a Volkswagen Beetle? If you were to take a sawzall and cut it into separate 1'x1' pieces, how many pieces would there be?
I am trying to cover the Beetle inside and out, top and bottom, pan and body.
I guess the answer would have to be multiplied by two, to cover both sides.
Anyone who can give me any help on this would be appreciated. |

The consensus seems to be 2 gallons needed. But I see adds where 1.5 gallons only does 40 sqft. |

Why not just get 2 gallons and then you can get more if you need to? _________________ 1965 BAJA |

Having done the bed liner thing on a vehicle before, i have a couple bits of advice.
1) I would use a 2 part bedliner. My son used XtremeLiner on his Jeep pickup. You need to have access to an air compressor to spray it but it holds up well. The compressor doesnt have to be big we have a 3hp 30gal tank and it worked fine.
Here is a link to the liner he used.

2) Don't use the gun that comes with the kit. Get yourself a Ceiling Texture gun from Harbor Freight. They run around $20. The large 1.5gal hopper helps to keep things moving while spraying the liner.

My son sprayed his entire pickup in 1 day. And that included masking and prep work. |

I am out of state now and I have to order everything while I can. When I get there I have no bank account and that makes everything really hard to order. |
