Hi guys! I don't make it in here very often, but I am using a 1970 914 fresh air fan in my 1968 Baywindow. I modified the fan housing to help me pull heated air up into the front of the cabin. It doesn't get that hot so it should be ok.

My question is since I don't have the 914 switch or wiring plug is did the fan originally run off of 12v? There are spade connectors on the motor itself. I hooked it up to 12v and it works GREAT! : ) Does not seem stressed, etc.

Just thought I would ask the voltage before I put it to some real use.
Thanks! Porsche live on!

12VDC, correct.

You should be able to nab a 3-postion switch from a 944 or 924S so you can have all 3 speeds. That'd be kinda cool.

I would need the wiring plug and switch. I guess I could put up a wanted ad! Thanks for the great info! These fans are GREAT quality! Quiet and put out some serious cfms.
