After being by my wife's side for six or seven hours of her labor I figured I had earned a couple of points and I asked her if I could go downstairs to the hospital coffee shop and get something to eat. Boy, what a mistake that was! Don't ask your wife that, OK? You'll lose like a million zillion points with her.

Our midwife was totally calm, but I made the big mistake of suggesting she should "lay down?" #Bad Talk

Wait it out, cut the cord, kiss you wife, and then go get a burger, have a beer and bring back something she likes to eat. Hospital food blows

After the learning curve on the first, we had the inlaws, brother in law, friends, photographers (there was a magazine shoot) show up with loaded coolers, playing cards, snacks while we waited

The midwife said it was the biggest mob she'd seen.

Major blizzrd hitting the area at the sametime. Now I have to go drive the syncro thru 8-10 inches of pow to pick up the inlaws and bring them here.

Well we were pregnant and near due. We were driving in the VW and I was pulling out of a parking lot and drive through a large pot hole and the wife said ut oh. Our daughter was born the next day.
