Did anyone notice how we all say how retarted the show is but we know every detail cause we watch faithfully every week.

I never said it was retarded. I like reality shows like this. Had my application in for the first "Survivor" series but dropped the ball on the video application.
I understand that there is some scripting and selective editing to steer these programs into a format, but the reactions and decision making are so bizarre I seriously doubt any director would have pre-planned them.
I find the passionate hatred for these shows to be a bit over the top. Some people seem to be bragging about their deep hatred for these shows, and that just seems weird. Why the extreme emotions for a show you aren't forced to watch?
Seems like there's something more going on there... |

Elicting strong reaction either positive or negative is a publicists dream..in this case there would be no show if these guys werent a bunch of morons.Competent gold mining is boring, the only 'hook' being the gold.
Observing the monkeys is a favorite human pastime, its why zoos are so sucessful. |

| The 16 year old boss kid is helarious. in last week's episode he was trying to give orders to two of his seasoned vetererans and the one dude just turned one of the machine's on and completely drowned what the kid was saying. |

It really bugs me when Todd starts with the
"guaranteed" BS to the crew and spouting solid estimates
of exactly how much gold they will be finding.
