Hey guys, looking for a post regarding carb. I have a new Empi, yea I know, and once installed the lower adjustment screw on the left side does nothing. All the way in or way out and there's no change. Seems like I read a post somewhere here that described those symptoms. Valves have been set, dwell is set, no vacuum leaks that I can find. Also running a SVDA distributor. Any advice would help or the post referencing this. Thanks.

Yea I know the history of EMPI. I just wanted to make sure its definitely a carb problem. Most of the used Solex carbs have worn shafts and I'm not sure where to find a good rebuilt one. Only thing new in my area is EMPI or Bocar. Both have about the same history.

If you have an old Solex carb try using the screw out of that - worked for me on an Euromax carb.

There's more info in the Stickys: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=183060
