Hey guys, looking for a post regarding carb. I have a new Empi, yea I know, and once installed the lower adjustment screw on the left side does nothing. All the way in or way out and there's no change. Seems like I read a post somewhere here that described those symptoms. Valves have been set, dwell is set, no vacuum leaks that I can find. Also running a SVDA distributor. Any advice would help or the post referencing this. Thanks. _________________ Gary

Yea I know the history of EMPI. I just wanted to make sure its definitely a carb problem. Most of the used Solex carbs have worn shafts and I'm not sure where to find a good rebuilt one. Only thing new in my area is EMPI or Bocar. Both have about the same history. _________________ Gary

If you have an old Solex carb try using the screw out of that - worked for me on an Euromax carb.
There's more info in the Stickys: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=183060 _________________ Joey
