One question is not clear for me, there is a douple hole at front, does the douple rectangular nut belongs to the bottom plate, spot welded there? I think it does. So some more work to do to be complete bottom plate |
I just took off the bottom of a ´49 heater chanel.
The rectangular block with the two threats lays moveable in a little metall cage that is fixed at the front end of the heater chanel and not fixed at the bottom plate. The cage lays just flat on the bottom but is only fixed at the front wall of the chanel. _________________ Master of my domain! |

Cool part again.
Most will never see it in the place it sits.
I never had till I had worked lately in that area.
You will make left and right I guess? _________________ Master of my domain! |

I tested new half gear for Atlas brand. Works fine, but Atlas is a bit tricky to do the job. One of the pivot rivets need to open to get the gear riveted. To prevent cracking, the deforming area needed to heat to get it soft. Then pressed out by suitable pin and support. I didn't softened it for reassembly and get some cracks.

Totally amazing! All you need is a 200 Ton press and you could do floor pans and roof sections! 3 fold roof sections!
All you need is this setup....

Tiny metal parts this time, old style ring connectors. These first with 5 mm holes.
Here you can see the difference to a modern connector, and material thickness is 0.55 mm for modern and 0.70 mm for early:
Here the connector parts, the brass connector and rubber isolator:
Here soldered and squeezed to a wire:
Here the finished joint to a wire:

If you made up the wire that goes from the distributor to the coil with these connectors and correctly coloured wire I would buy a couple for sure!
