the nostrils and mouth are glove box related. the mouth is half of the glovebox arm and the nostrils screw under the dash into the "mouth " bracket . _________________ "Better to burn out than to rust"

From out of a 1967 Ghia.
This bolts up, accessible from the storage area under the package tray, and stick out into the engine compartment from the firewall.
The T handle turns all the way out and looks like a jet at the screwed in side. And then the hose leads to I don't know what.
What the hell is this thing? _________________ 1967 Karmann Ghia |

I think that is the regulator for a gas heater that would be installed under the rear seat area.

There was in fact, a gas heater installed under the rear seat!
I've since removed it as well. I don't think I'm going to use these pieces.
So they go together then? Makes sense. _________________ 1967 Karmann Ghia |

Yep, definitely gas heater related. I took one out of my 69...not to be reinstalled later. |

where it says Huf, has S6157 on the chrome |
I suggest that is SG157 and is the code for the key fitting this lock assuming the original barrel is in there.
for LHS
Part # 141 837 205 is up to '62
Part # 141 837 205 A is up to '63 to '66
Part # 141 837 205 B is '68 to '69
Part # 141 837 205 C is '67
Part # 141 837 205 D is '70 to '71
Part # 141 837 205 E is from '72 and up
Similarly for RHS 141 837 206 and so on.
You might need to look more closely at your part numbers. what you report seems to not match what's in my parts book.

Just looking at the photos, those outer door handles are 63-66 style, maybe 67 too?
Yes, the dash handle is from the low light era, but I also had a '60 ghia with that one, but my '63 and later ghias had the black plastic handle. Haven't had a 61 or 62, but I think they were the later style also. 1960 was a bit of a transition year. |

It's the size of a tow hook. Chromed. Has part # KL 1970 with a VW logo stamped next to it. Can't figure out where it would bolt on.

It looks to be the receiver for the lobster claw seat belts. Not positive though.
