VWs in Mo Val - Moreno Valley, CA?

Good to see another vw enthusiest in the area!

just got back into the bug scene a few weeks ago (bought a 67 bug), after 4 years with no bug, I got the itch for another one.

As far as I know there arn't any vw clubs in moreno valley, the only car club out in this area that used to have a few vw's in it was forbiden fantesy, (it was more for different types of lowered cars/trucks, but not mainly for vws)

There is usually a car show in the town gate center near fredrick st. (i think its normally sponsered by a restuarant called "Hoggs" (I think thats the name) but there is usually a group of 4 or 5 guys who have vdubs that almost always show up to the event.
next time they have a show, head down there and ask those guys, they would probably know

maybe some one else from the area (who hasn't had a 4 year break from vws) can chime in

thanks for the response, yeah I just got myself into the VW scene as well.. though I have 72 sb.. got it about a month ago.. I know where that place on Federick st is.. I'll look into that..

Let me know if you ever want to hang out and if I find out any info on any local VW show, I'll let you know..

hey guys i'm also from moval. I haven't heard of any vw clubs in moval, but there's a club called HerrKooleD Inland Empire out of Temecula. I went to one show and shine and it was pretty cool, about 30 or 40 people show up with their rides. I think you can find them on here under the community drop down menu under clubs.
I too just got into the vw scene in January. I have 73 Super that I'm working on. It hasn't been road worthy in 4 months, I gutted as soon as i got it. Its nice to see some local people on here.

The first two letters are my initials and the second two are my wife's initials. My wife has loved bugs since she was little and never had chance to own one. So I finally bought her one and we work on it together.

btw, I found out there is going to be a car show this as bekindtoyurbuds, mention. it's going to be this saturday coming up, the 19th at Hoggs, here in MoVal from 5pm till about 8pm I guess..

I was thinking of going to check out, I know it's not a VW show but why not haha

jsd, I hear you on the towngate center, I most definetly will try out Hoggs, the food on menu and the reviews I saw are great..

Its funny how much this topic relates to me. I also live in Moreno Valley and I own a '66 vw bug. The funny thing is, you guys were talking about the Hoggs Grill and I have a pattented hot rod scooter called the "BOZZ HOGG!" Hows that for similarities? But never the less, get out there and drive those V-Dubs. I think we should meet up at a local burger spot and talk V Dubs every once in a while. Mines not all cherry but i love the journey!

I dont do the club thing, im a pretty busy but just showing up every once in a while is cool. Plus I do powder coating at home so now you guys have a personal local powder coat connection!
