This photo is probably from a NORRA Mexican 1000 in 1970 to '72. The Miller-Havens bug-eye fiberglass introduced in mid 1969 says its 1970 or later. The race number starting with a 1 indicates its not a SCORE race. NORRA ended in 73. The 4-point roll bar instead of a cage and no nets says its 73 or earlier.
In fact, the paint scheme is familiar from my Tech Inspector work in the early 70s. I can't put a name to the car though.
I recently ran across this photo in a page about offroad racing Broncos.
Not my photo, but I'm in it. At the right beyond the stocky guy in the white tee and the guy in the gray shirt. I'm the slim guy in the white shirt with a red badge and white butcher cap standing looking down inspecting the Funco SS1. This is Tech at the 1975 SCORE Baja Internacional (500). The other buggy is a Hi Jumper Ascot. _________________ Richard

Old school 36 horse powered buggy with GRB's up in norther Michigan.
Looks a little better after they painted it this past spring. Still, it is a little over due for a service.

Not quite as old as some of these, but still a piece of history. This is from I believe the 91 SCORE Baja 1000

Ya, we will fix it up for something to cruise. I wanna add a piece to the back to make it look like an afterburner. I'll start a build thread when that day comes. _________________ Ms Hoover, I glued my head to my shoulder.

Some of the things I have been doing with my project are kind of old school. A lot if racers used to cut off the factory bump stops, weld, and gusset them above the upper arms. I did pretty much the same thing.

I still wish I knew what tires they were. Only thing on it was Goodyear and 9.15-15, no tread name. I tried searching for vintage Goodyear stuff and didn't come up with anything quite like this. _________________ 1800 Type 4 Berrien 295
