Looks like you guys had a great day. With such a big field, I'm still trying to grasp the concept of someone flying a kite so close to the cars??

yea. me too. they were also holding a soccer game next to my bus. have i mentioned i hate people? Evil or Very Mad

i about had a heart attack when some dude and his 2 kids were looking at my bus and my inlaw's thing while on bikes! i gave the kids the evil eye and almost exchanged words with the father.

this was the first real ride in my bus since the winter overhaul. fresh paint was attacked by fresh spring bugs... that i expected. i wasn't expecting a dive bomb by a 2 dollar kite.

i guess i'm getting grumpy in my old age.

I have a number of photos that I'd like to add--and will get to them as I am able. Here's the first group...

A tip of the hat first to our good friends Greg (turquoise '63 Sedan) and Bill (black '63 Sunroof), who I met with earlier in the day, before heading up to UConn to pick up my son, who also wanted to check out the Dust Off...

And a few more general overviews for now...

I am happy that I was not around for the "kite" and/or "bike action"--that really sucks.

Still can't get over what a nice day it was. Thanks again CVA-ers for organizing such a nice gathering!

Few more to come, as I'm able to get to 'em...

Final group (for now, anyway)...

Looks like "Chuck's-Wagen" (Chuck P'.s '64, driven all the way over from his home base in NW Connecticut)... Yup, "Litchfield Bug-In" flyers were available, too (DON'T MISS IT, on Father's Day, in Harwinton, CT, as always! Info: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=493601):

Couple more miscellaneous overall car views:

To wrap up the 2012 Dust Off Tour for now, it's Bill's gorgeous "Lemon" in the foreground:

After the Dust Off, I had to get my son back up to UConn, so a final quick shot at Buckley Hall, just a short jaunt up CT Route 195 (sorry about the "brand x" car having snuck into the shot)...

Thanks again CVA, for a Great VW Day!

Next stop: Marlborough, CT, for the CVA's First Annual "Swap & Meet-Up," on May 20th, ref: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=494192

Can't wait! See y'all there!
