| Im new to vw's and hope someone can Help with a pan number 0189018. Sup post to be a 56, title has the same says it's a 56. Just don't see that number anywhere on the chart. |

The best way to get help is to also post up some pics. To me it sounds like theres a number missing or something.
Iv'e seen in the past that some people confuse the body number with the VIN number. |

| So am I mixing something up or just a weird number, which I don't think is possible. Everything looks legit, nothing cut and welded in. I don't know guess I will never know. |

That is an odd number . What does the VIN tag say?
There's is more then one way to figure out what year and month this car is. I think the best way to figure it all out is to gather all of the other numbers on the car. Like the body number, Engine number, Front beam number, speedo date, window mechanism date, front driver side brake line support bracket number.

this is my father son project we just got and curious about the year titled as a 56
# on title and tunnel 0189018
# on the tag on the front of the body 1492307
# stamped under that tag 490961
speedo date 12/57
no motor and cant find other numbers, thanks for all your help. im sure i will have plenty of other questions through this project. |
