Neat little thing...
For those who have followed this build, you will know that there is an immense amount of sentimental attachment to this little car. Something that Larry has had on this car for the entire span of his ownership is this original EMPI late 60's era rosewood shift knob...Larry requested it stay with the car...I agreed. Very Happy

Really nice! I've had 3 67's in my life. The first one was bought new by my parents in Cumberland MD. It was red. The second one I bought when I was 18, local car with lots of mods. And the one I have now is Bahama Blue, I'm the second owner, had it 30 years. I love them!

This is Larry the owner, and this car is just a picture of simple beauty. Sometimes I fear I'll wake up and find it is still smashed and dust-covered in that old warehouse. Mike is nothing short of incredible, and I can never repay the favor he's done.
Stay tuned for more - I have a friend who likes to make videos and I want to do one on the VW, probably in the spring to avoid slushy, salty roads. Many smiles ahead. Very Happy

Mike and Larry...I enjoyed reading this thread and know that your friendship is as deep as the love of this car, thanks for sharing that too.

You may not believe this, but this was a regular photo of Mike. Man, I've had orbs and ghostly images appear in photographs before, but this is straight out of "It's a Wonderful Life." Mike the Restoration Angel...
