Last March I put a set of new Cofap oil shocks on my 68 squareback. Worked fine, nice feel.

Over the last few weeks the right front has started making a squeaking noise, particularly in the cold. I don't ever remember this happening with Boges. The local VW shop says he can't get any other oil shock except Cofaps any more.

So I'm looking for a source for Boges, or any other suitable oil shock.

Have you looked for KYB Premium shocks? These are their OEM replacement oil filled shocks.

Sorry fella, I was just looking up the part numbers on the KYB site for you and realised they don't sell their Premium shocks in the US. Sorry Sad

Max,

Not sure if you have the P/N for the previous front Boges you had but it looks like ISPWest sells some Boges right now on eBay with the P/N of 113513031N.

I'm curious if these are the correct ones for my squareback as well.

Well, the on-line catalog showed them out of stock. But the order page showed 2 available, so I ordered them.

We shall see if they actually have two to ship.

Stay tooned. Wink

Yes, please keep us updated as to how they are installed. Looks like some have used the Monroe 5752's for the fronts and would be good to get a comparison between the two.

Did you try to run the 5752's in the fronts and didn't have a good a ride as your older stock oils?

Well, my ISP order has processed and Alex says he's got them.

This is good. Cool

Alright, finally installed the Boges up front.

Boges are indeed now sold by Sachs.

They are definitely softer than the Cofaps and infinitely nicer than the GR2s I used to run. I like them. Cool
