Anybody else have fuse strip moving problems. Sometimes causes the extreme right fuse to blow (hazards). Thinking about using gorilla glue to tack the thing on to the trunk metal. Any other ideas? |

You sure the mounting screws and clips aren't just missing? _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

even if its loose, it shouldn't be aproblem unless a hot wire touchs metal when it moves. _________________ 79 super Vert

Screw it down. Use sheet metal screws if necessary.
Wait a minute - did the bug have dealer-installed AC? If so, the fuse box is raised about 1.5 inches and the fuses are accessed from underneath (a terrible design) ? That may be poster's situation. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. The '71 now has the 1835 engine, swapped from the '70. shouldn't be a problem |
, unless it shorts
but it does
and the feeds to it are UNFUSED
so that burns the wires to a crisp. or worse.
red hot glowing wires, got you down, get gorilla glue... lol
just like all fuse panels on all cars and homes.
in homes the 200amp blows, because it has mains.
yours has NOTHING. |

Clips are definitely missing. Thanks for the pics. It's either going to be clips or epoxy. |

I used a nice panel with a broken clip for my baja, made a plastic strap holding it down with two screws...not a resto by any means, but it works.
