Nice! On a crazy coincidence, somebody recently asked me if I knew what became of that Bus and just days later the answer is known with this reappearance.

If you guys are needing some taillights for it I've got a beautiful set of original 1950-1951's that are available.

hey Brendan, is it possible that those tail lights came off this bus originally? the metal they were attached to sure looks to be a similar color in my memory, and the shape of the cut out is correct for whats missing from this bus. If so, that would be amazing....

Flatsix is correct. The decal is the Stuttgart emblem. Nonetheless the image resembles Ferrari so much that it is cool being on this old bus. It also has a Hahn dealership badge from Stuttgart.

My dad has told me stories of him & his friend who used to push start a 1950 bus named SUDFUNK everyday down in Torrance Bch. His friend Eberhard Fengler was the owner of that bus. I've been meaning to start a thread to search for this monster......WOW!. That is an amazing bus. Very Happy Very Happy My dad has alot of history w/ that thing!!!!

The Sudfunk bus is on the road. Three days of work redoing the brakes and replacing engine plus rewiring. Thanks to Dave Sweinhagen, Hans Christensen, And Kris Eichenhauer. Note the aluminum Vw logo that is happy to be on the bus. Hopefully will get a youtube of it on soon. Tranny seem to be good which is a real plus.

Any idea when the parts got swapped out?
I guess gas pedal could have been anytime but the engine lid must have been pre-signwriting right?
