I don't know when the stuff was changed out, but it was a long time ago... The nose skin and driver door were also changed. It seems it was all done at the same time the bottom was resprayed dove blue and the upper was painted the darker blue.

As Dick mentioned, the bus is moving under it's own power... Some new tires, a "quicky" brake job and a good running 36hp. A couple additional picts...

Great to see a sudfunk radio. I found on the net that they made radios from 1950-1967 in Stuttgart. Other than that all info is about the Sudfunk choir. Any history from Europe would be appreciated.

I'm lovin those choke and heater pull knobs. Seems like those are always messed with or broken on super early buses.

while you may not "know" the person who owns this bus.
you know there is only one person up here who owns VWs of this caliber.

strangely enough I don't think I've ever met him either Think
