I am looking for some info on the inner rocker panels for my 54.

Did they have notches in the top flange that lined up with floor drain holes? If so did both side get them? I cant find any NOS photos.

Was the inner rocker profile the same as later splits?

Were there any drain holes in the inner rocker?

Thanks

Rarely photographed area, especially on a solid bus

There’s a couple of reference pictures on David’s thread that may be useful (solid 52 Deluxe, shortside sill)
See pages 1 & 2

I looked at those and couldn't see any notches. But it is a 52... It seems the drain holes were drilled after the floor was installed as they are not even. My 54 looks like the holes were punched. Three holes still exist. Unfortunately the inner rocker flange has dissolved at those hole.

I was going through my pile of rust and inspecting everything and found this. A cargo floor drain hole that shows it was drilled after floor install.

This is why I never throw anything out. Smile

So no notches.

Seams there should be a drain hole somewhere on the long side rocker though. Doesn't appear there was any on the outside...

there is a hole on the outside rocker at the forward end, to act as a drain for the B pillar and ingress from semaphore opening. Hole is about 3/16"-1/4" in diameter and centered in the B pillar.

Inner rocker has two holes at each end, approx 7/16" on center from ends. Also approx 1/4" diameter. (both cargo and drivers side)

I see those on later buses but didn't think they overlapped with the outer pillar holes. I had assumed the change was post barndoor.
