Cool! nicely done. I like the slightly conservative method. The first inclination of most with PS is to create a chariactured, slammed to the ground "hood ride" out of an otherwise fine set of lines. Keep them coming!

Generally I am a purist but I actually think this stance looks good.

A texas yellow Spider would certainly fit in with my yellow 411 Variant and 412 Sedan!

Monte Carlo Classic next year? Anyone?

Who's the first one to recognise where the wheels are from? (No Scandinavians accepted to this one)

More ideas for photoshopping?

That's right Ton!
To be exact, the wheels were originally made for 99 EMS, but 900 used them too.

We call those, in the states at least, the Saab "Soccer ball" wheel design. I dabble a bit in Swedish cars as well- my daily driver/family vehicles are Volvos now. I've always thought the Saab 99 and 412 were kindred styling spirits and would love to have one. I was really, really tempted to buy a running Sonett III a while back for $300 (IIRC it had some form of soccer balls on it-would anything else do?!).

Sonett for 300? You really should have bought that and sell it to scandianvia for thousands...
Sonetts had the similar soccer ball -styled wheels, but with 5-bolt pattern. They fit 96 too.

The Saab 99 had things in common with the 411/412 even if it engineering wise was the opposite, here are some more points:

It was wery much the same size as the 411.
It was launced in autumn 1968
It had a 1700cc 4cyl engine at the drive wheels
It had 80Hp
It had 15" wheels
It was never a sucess (besides in Scandinavia), only some 590 000 cars were produced in total until 1984 (Type 4 some 360 000 until 1974).
