All the "new" episodes on velocity channel were produced about a year ago. I laughed out loud watching the bug episode when mike checked the end play on the crank; tugs on the pulley and the crank clacks back and forth about an 1/8" both ways and he says something like "oh seems to be fine" then proceeds to buy the car

I am pretty sure i know the seller of that bug. He looks like a guy that i sold a few bays and quite a bit of bay parts to over the last few years. I emailed him to confirm that it is him. Laughing That episode was first aired in 2009

I stick up for these guys but I was so upset when they replaced the factory chrome with cheap crap. That and why the hell did they change the block in a numbers matching car. The headliner looked like I did it. Very disapointed.

Does he live here or in GB? They seem to be doing more and more shows in the US, California in particular. I sense a move in his future...

I've picked up a few tips from the mechanic as well, and i thought they were on the right track on the episode with the 914.
I take it with a grain of salt)

Anybody see the first episode of Wheeler Dealer with the new co-host? The new guy is nothing more than a very bad actor, posing as a mechanic. I'll be shocked if this show makes it past this season.

I miss Edd China.

I miss Edd too.... I saw the first new episode. I...Did...Not...Like...It...
What ever happened to affordable classics, now they're doing $20K cars. I know they started that with Edd, but still, they were still doing somewhat affordable cars. Now its a car that there were only 30 of them in the states.

Edd says that he left because they were wanting to cut out some of the garage portions of the show. He felt like they were going against what the show was about and he didnt see himself doing a show like that.
Mike says Edd is a tv star now and the new guys is a "Real mechanic" . He called Edd a traitor and generally badmouths him when he's interviewed

two very different versions of what happened...
Either way, I watched the show for Edd. I will not watch the new bastardization of the show.

He's a real TV star Laughing

Can you think of a TV star that actually works on anything around the house... or stands in public without body guards...

I really hope he gets a show to feature his repairs and diagnoses. That was the highlight for me, and made it stand out against all other car shows.

I don't know if there is market for a show like this or not. I hope so!

All one has to do is what any single episode of the show to see who the talent is, and who the crude, overblown, big-mouth, no-talent is.

Edd is THE MAN!
