Are you already done with the base ?
Any pictures ? |
I picked the 1945 style teardrop for two with the kitchenette.
The base is done, now the next step is to lay down the floow and walls.
Pictures are coming soon. I have been cleaning the base and today I'll apply the black coda of paint. _________________ Custom labels available here

So, here is more. I polished the bumper and installed the bumper support on the trailer.
Now, the floor will be next. _________________ Custom labels available here

Good job buddy...
Last monday I finally had my first day off in a month...
I ve worked on sanding all the rust from my little trailer...
6 hours in the sun with no shirt on on a beautiful day... Got me a nice sun burn...
I also bought some foam panels and had cut a pattern for my side walls out of these with the help of a friend...No pict yet though...
Keep on updating your work man it s gonna be a nice teardrop... _________________ When I was living in France I was shipping parts for my Harley from U.S... Now that I live in U.S I'm shipping parts for my bus from Germany !

More steps done today.
Sealed the bottom of the floor with roof stuff to make it water proof.
Very easy to work by yourself when you can flip this thing.
I started to cut. Tomorrow I sand and shape it nicely.
I have to start shopping for the aluminum rolls. _________________ Custom labels available here

Pretty much done. I have to make the front a bit heavier to avoid fish tailing after 50mph. Other than that it is all done. We had been camping all summer and for next spring we'll make some cosmetic changes like outside decorations and spot lights. _________________ Custom labels available here

It looks like your axle is too far forward so you don't enough tongue weight. Also, a bug front bumper is straighter than a rear so it matches the shape better.
Trailer(s) look good. I'd like to build one myself. _________________ '67 westy

It looks like you need to move the axle back a couple feet to get the tongue weight right. Check the position of this modern tear drop versus yours:

Mounting an ice chest/tool box in front and loading it up would help. _________________ http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u236/mr_bojangles500/
