I was uploading some pics on Photobucket today and found these that i uploaded a while back.

I was modeling Snorkelstang in 3d. I gave up because of the limited photo angles and resources. I might go back and finish after seeing the progress in this thread.

Thanks. I made some more progress tonight, but no new photos yet. Building a model means I get to study the SNORKELSTANG in excruciating detail, so I've been blessed. And it would be too easy to use Volkswagen parts. The model must be as fussy and overcomplicated as the actual 'STANG, so I've sourced a Mustang chassis for it.

don't worry, snorkelstang will summon the right fab man to install the rear end. he wont know why he's doing it, he'll just do it. then snorkelstang will roll itself to the west coast.

TRP?! Shocked Laughing

If only we could re-direct the lazer from the snorkel with mirrors to the chassis it could weld it's shackles back on.

No way! What if Snorkle got pissed at my car and lasered it in half? Shocked
Let me pick up my car first. If Snorkle got around all of those other cars at TRP, it could turn out to be the Columbine of the VW world.

Anyone see the latest issue of Lowrider Magazine? There is a flashback photo in there from the 80's of the Pink Lady. There simply has to be some photos of Snorkelstang out there somewhere at some car show in the past. Obviously the cave painting and last supper images miraculously emerged...

But seriously...tracking down the details on the creator and stuff would be cool. I know there is some info in the thread but is there any contact info for this guy at all? He at least needs a shirt!

I don't know if creating the worst (therefore the best) Volkswagen (sort of) in history is an accolade I would step forward to accept. Perhaps certain things should remain shrouded in mystery.

On the other hand, the creator might be enticed if we offered a 7-foot car show trophy. (Or better yet, a silver-plated snorkel.)
