All of the pics on here are the ones I took in my driveway for the ebay ad. I have more, but I will have to dig them up and scan them.
Love the Barrett-Jackson pic. That was awesome! lol _________________ Former Snorkelstang owning, abortion driver. |

You must be of a higher being..Being able to own Snoklestang but as a single man! Thus it's power proved to be too much and you sent the car into oblivion! How'd you get it on top of Mt. Rainer if you don't mind my asking? _________________ PNW Dub Folk & Kitsap dub Folk (KdF)

If we find it this time, we NEED to make it the new mascot of the forum, for reals. I mean, I've never seen a car with more wrong with it, on more levels, everything from the airbrush mural on the decklid, to that beautiful body kit.
I definitely didn't make this picture _________________ (0\!/0) 1966 Beetle - daily driver. |

Is there a place on here where we can make a thread for just photoshops of Snorklestang? That sounds fun! _________________ To his their own PBJ

If I'm not mistaken, that appears to be a MK 3 plasma inverter attached to a Bussard collector. That coupled with a set of antimatter injectors, a tank of deuterium and some warp field coils and this baby could achieve warp speed.
And that's exactly what it did.
Here's the real story of Snorklestang:
It was a gift from an advanced alien race. A vehicle which enabled mankind to travel to their planet deep in the Shag Carpet galaxy on the other side of the Velvet Painting Nebula.
We were warned not to use it for anything other than what it was designed for but, mankind is weak.
It was banned from drag racing at the Bug Out in Manassas. It was tearing up the track not to mention that hole it made in the space-time continuum.
Shortly thereafter, the aliens deactivated it and placed it beneath a great green tarp made from the very fiber of space itself and held together with the sticky sweet serum which would have cured all disease know to man.

That is awesome. Can't wait to see if he has done anything with it. Did you tell him about the cult followers the car has? lol
If he isn't going to do anything with it, someone needs to buy it and make it a group project car. _________________ Former Snorkelstang owning, abortion driver. |

SnorkelStang Update:
The SnorkelStang is resting peacefully in Huntsville, AL. It was my first ebay purchase in 2003 and I felt obligated to follow through with the purchase. We hooked up a trailer and drove to Ohio to pick up SnorkelStang and my bro-in-law and friend begged me to leave it as is where is and offered me money to leave it in Ohio as it was very cold, snowing and no rear axle on the SnorkelStang. We managed to load it up on the trailer and the looks we get driving down the road were priceless and frankly worth the trip. We stopped to eat at a Ruth's Chris and everytime we looked out the window, the Snorkel was staring at us.
When we pulled up in the driveway with the SnorkelStang, the wife went nuts and demanded the removal of the alien from the driveway, so I took it over to a friend's place and it has been sitting there ever since. I have come close to getting a rear end for it a couple of times but the seller's always wanted to get rid of an entire car so it is still not a roller. My son wanted to remove the Snorkel and put it on another bug but judging from the cult following that would have been committing SnorkelStang suicide.
I will try to get some current pictures in the next day or two! |
