Here is the list I have for May so far….
Sun May 6 – Rhinebeck Car Show Rhinebeck NY
Sat May 19 – Bay State VW Owners Club Spring Cruise – Dedham MA http://www.bsvwoc.org/ or e-mail Peter at [email protected].
Sun May 20 – Marlborough Moose Lodge Swap and Meet-Up Marlborough CT.
Sun May 20 – Stockbridge MA Arlo Guthrie charity walk
Fri May 25 – Westies in the Woods Camp Out 21st Annual Branchville, NJ
Sun May 27 – Sunday Royal Car Show
I will post the date of the Air-Cooled Cruisers get together for May as soon as I can. AGAIN… AS ALWAYS… Please add to this list if you have or have seen of some other shows in our area. Thank you…..
There are a lot of ALL MAKES shows popping up EVERYWHERE also… If you know of any of these that you would like to invade with VW’s go ahead and post it and help spread the word.
DON’T FORGET AIR-COOLED CRUISERS OF CENTRAL MA MEET AND GREET CRUISE SCHEDULED FOR SAT APRIL 28 MEETING UP AT 207 RIVER ST WINCHENDON FOR AROUND NOON - THEN A CRUISE UP AROUND BY MT. MONADNOCK (THERE IS A GREAT AREA TO STOP FOR A PHOTO OPP) THEN OVER TO KIMBALL FARM IN JAFFREY NH FOR A BITE TO EAT…

The Riveria is waiting on parts she might be ready to go, baring any craziness.
My ride is also waiting on parts. Hoping all parts will be here by this weekend so I can jump on them first thing Monday morning.

I know we personally will not be at the Rhineback show, we are heading down to Bealton VA for the VW Cruisers Flight #11 show. We may have some items for the Marlborough Swap Meet... how much for a spot?
7 Day forcast today looks good, cool but no rain... YAY... should be a beautiful picture day...

My brother and I wont make it. My brother got a job in DC and we're making a emergency move to Arlington VA on saturday. Big Jack aka Capt. is coming along with us to help with the move, sorry to bring the count down 3 buses.

Sorry to hear you won't be here for this one.... Understand completely about moving... there are not many jobs around and when one comes along you gotta grab it...
we just came up from that area... check out our club down there PanAirVWs.com we used to be about an hour or so away from there... they can connect him with shows etc... now he will be closer to Bug Out in Manassas... they do two big shows each year Memorial Day and Labor Day... we may be heading down for the Labor day... we are also going to a show the first wkend in May in Bealton VA... there is a link to that show.. on the forum.... it's put on by VW Cruisers and is called Flight 11.... There are a few clubs in that area.... but our guys can def point him in the right direction.... he can always PM me for info also... Good luck and safe travels... we'll see ya next time around...

It's all going down all this weekend Stan. Jack will be popping my flying cherry this weekend when we come back Monday so I'm stoaked. I'm happy for Dan but bummed he's leaving. He's planning on coming to Litchfield and TransporterFest Stan so you'll see him a few times this year. Going to have to have to boogie down to DC this summer to bug him also.
DAdams, I'm Big Jack that orangebug60guy (the other Jack) mentioned by the way. I have the '75, blue and white, weekender with the roobars. I'm pretty sure we meet at TransporterFest last fall. I had the cowboy hat on and was hanging out near the lowered grey bus

I tried calling Dan but he must be in full Bruins mode tonight.
That flying comment reminds me when Jim Phillips and I flew out to the west coast for the VW classic a few years ago. Jim was saying that previous to that flying trip, the last time he flew was when people could still smoke on the plane. That's old time...

NEXT EVENT:
Air-Cooled Cruisers of Central New England presents:
Covered Bridge Cruise/BBQ
Sunday June 10, 2012
Meeting at 207 River St., Winchendon 11AM, we will be cruising up through Southern NH and visiting 6 different Covered Bridges. Then coming back to our home for a BBQ.
Bring whatever you would like to cook, drinks, lawn chairs and if anyone wants to throw in a side dish that would be great.
Anyone is welcome to join us...

Damn, this sounds like fun. 3 hrs just to get to you is just to far for a day trip. Take lots of pics...
