Apologies for the delay and thanks so much to JnR356 (who actually assembled the car from scratch!) for updating the pics.
Thanks to JnR the car was ready for my wedding day on November 29th last year and made it even more special.
Some pics:
The big day!
And a shot from its first Cars & Coffee Melbourne:
There are too many people to thank but i'll do my best:
Will (Tropic Motors) for the amazing rust repair and bodywork getting the car ready to paint. Many hours and late nights were spent ensure the car to completed as I wanted it.
Damo (Charlie Battisti) for the deep and perfect paint job. You're right, Glasurit deserves a special touch.
John Alba (Grumpsmetal/VWSunroofs.com) for creating the fantastic 3-fold sunroof. If it weren't for John my dream of a ragtop Oval wouldn't be alive, and I thank him for his patience in dealing with an overseas buyer, and also his after sales support which was second to none to make sure everything went to plan.
Mark (JNR356) for his long nights, generous advice and attention to detail. I had the vision, and Mark has the skills so i'm very grateful to have met him and have the car assembled beautifully by him, pictures don't do it justice.
Dave from Volkstrim for the amazing seats and door cars
Adrian for the perfectly installed headliner and carpets
Gabriel (GabVWKey) for the matching locks through the car and beautiful handles
Leslie (Airevo wheels) for the stunning wheels that he shipped all the way from Belgium to my door in Australia.
Ricardo (SplitpartsUnlimited) for the various rare items I needed which he sent over to complete the car
Pete (Airkewld) for the stainless hardware and pro-built steering box
Newton Commercial for the German Square Weave carpets
CB Performance for the brake set up
Kaefer-Nostalgie for the other hard to get items _________________ www.dinography.com.au - Dino!
