I want everyone to try and think back to your first vw motor experience. If you can't remember imagine opening the lid, and with your basic automotive knowledge assessing the vw engine... and in that state, this motor looks fine to me. Laughing

After what seemed like an eternity we made it home safely and I got a better look at what I had just bought. There was liberal use of lime green throughout not to mention the "100% new and rebuilt" engine wouldn't start for the previous owner. Also the front seats were special to say the least. After a new carb was installed she fired right up. A few adjustments and she was running and idling.

I seen a guy without cylinder tins one time. And when i asked hows it run, he gave me such an attitude, telling me how he knows all about VWs. Of course the bug never did run.

I believe the Pistons are solenoids.

If you search for "electric piston engine," you will see various YT clips showing the concept.

If that's electric, I'd expect to see some much heavier wiring to energize the solenoids.

That's actually quite impressive, I'd hire a guy like that to work for me, it takes some skills to do that.
