After 15+ years of wanting a notch and waiting for the perfect one to fall in to place, I finally found it. It may not be for the purists, but I love it!

64 italian spec N model on 69 automatic pan and pedrini alloy wheels. Currently running fully automatic.

This came from another samba member, so may have been posted on here before.

It keeps raining here, so haven't gotten to enjoy it too much yet. Just got it friday. Here are some pics to start. I don't really have any plans of changing anything. Just clean it up and drive it. It's had some dirt road travels so the engine is filthy. Not why I don't have a pic, just didn't think about it.

Nice! '69 IRS/FI/AT with the early body style rule! You could strip the black paint back to the original finish like Glenn has on his Beetle. Cool

It is dual carb, not FI.

What black paint are you talking about? on the pedrinis?

What is this croatian notch of which you speak? I will have to look it up.

I wish it had a sunroof, but it's solid and runs and it's the color I want so I can't complain Smile

Pedrinis were never meant to be painted IMHO! Look at Glenn's.

I like them painted and think they look great like that... so sorry, they won't be getting stripped any time soon!

That's a nice notch!

My wife would love that it is automatic.

It's not something I was looking for... I have to watch it since it is automatic... my mom might try to steal it from me!

It takes some getting use to. This is the first time I have driven an automatic since about 05. I keep trying to push the clutch pedal only to discover it isn't there. surprisingly i havent been trying to use the gear shift lol.

And thanks for all the compliments Very Happy I love this notch! it was well worth the wait!

Funny, I was just talking about those wheels yesterday... I still have those. They will never go on my bus.

Agreed, it's a nice looking Notch. The AT kind of makes it fun to drive too, IF you get the kick down switch adjusted right. It's almost like an oversize go cart. Cool You push with the right foot to go faster, and the left foot to go slower or stop. Wink

If they haven't been ground or modified, I might be interested. were they the 14" "Bundts", or something else? PM me.

I like Pedrinis better when they're painted. It gives them a vintage speed look that works well with the early body. If I had a 4-lug Type 3 that's the wheel I would run. Nice Notch!

I had plans to run them on my square, even went as far as buying a set. Sadly they needed too much work so I decided to sell them.

What was wrong with them? Buy a nicer set? Very Happy

Aside from needing a bath from the twelve hour ride to my house, the car is pretty much exactly what I want... I might buy it some accessories eventually, but there is nothing I want or need to change about it. Its super fun to drive!

They were very curb rashed and one of them was bent pretty badly. To repair them it would have cost a few hundred bucks which I already had into them.
