I am considering rebuilding my 1972 Bus Tranny. Any suggestions on any experienced rebuilders in the PNW?
Thanks. |

There is a German shop named German Transaxle in Bend mentioned from time to time here. You also have BigBore in Alaska depending on how far you are north. Rick Long is in Northern California. _________________ Steve aka Merlin the Wrench

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, shipping a Tranny to Alaska is a bit far but did read some good feedback on both German Transaxle (Bend) and AAtransaxle (Seattle).
Thanks. |

I personally haven't had any dealing with Aatransaxle but can say I have spoken with (Daryl I believe) on the phone, seemed very nice and straight forward. A friend of mine had a watercooled transmission rebuilt by him a few years ago, and said he was great to work with. He is in fact going back to have another built for him soon. Only heard great things about aa. _________________ Saving lives and breaking hearts.

I had german transaxle rebuild my 72 bus tranny back 2006. Its been going strong since with well over 100K miles on it since.
They are definitely getting my business again.
